Letter from Pastor Jimmy on Temporary Church Closing

Church Family,

The City of Amarillo has announced they will be raising the COVID-19 status to Level Red – the highest level – effective Wednesday, October 14. We recognize the need as a church to help protect our congregation and serve our local healthcare systems, which are under significant strain.

As we visit with healthcare professionals, they are optimistic about the recovery rates of individuals being infected with COVID-19. Generally, recovery is faster, the need for ventilation is significantly lower, and treatment options are more varied and effective. That said, our communities are experiencing a surge of cases requiring hospitalizations, putting a significant strain on the healthcare system.

Thus, it is out of compassion for the sick and those tending to them that we are making the following changes at our campuses:

  1. Weekend Services will be online only through the rest of October, Sundays at 9:00am and 11:00am, except for the Decatur, Pampa, and Wellington campuses.
    1. Decatur, Pampa, and Wellington will continue with their regular services. Visit TFC.org/Sundays for details at those campuses.
  2. Wednesday Family Worship and Prophetic Nights are cancelled through the rest of October.
  3. Groups will meet digitally only through the rest of October - we will not hold any in-person gatherings at our campuses during this time.
  4. Our church offices will remain open during business hours.

Kim and I are praying for you, and we know that nothing can stop God’s kingdom from advancing! We are believing for protection, provision, and increase in every area of your life. To hear more details along with Kim praying Psalm 91 over you, click here!

Please reach out to our team at communications@tfc.org if there’s anything we can do for you or if you have any questions.

We love y’all!
